Testing Options

Functional lab testing allows us to move beyond guesswork and into targeted, root-cause healing. These advanced assessments help uncover the hidden imbalances contributing to your symptoms—so we can create a bio-individualized protocol that actually works for you.

Below are some of the most commonly recommended tests I use in practice. We’ll determine together which ones are most appropriate after your onboarding session.

Comprehensive Blood Chemistry Panel

This foundational panel provides a thorough overview of your internal health through key markers like blood sugar regulation, inflammation, liver and kidney function, nutrient status, thyroid activity, and more. Learn what your numbers actually mean from a functional perspective—not just what’s considered “normal” on a standard lab report. This is an excellent starting point for nearly everyone.

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA)

HTMA evaluates the mineral content and heavy metal excretion in your body through a small sample of hair. Minerals are the “spark plugs” of the body, playing a crucial role in energy production, enzyme function, and cellular health. This test offers insight into both long-term mineral trends (over 3–4 months) and toxic burden from heavy metals. It’s a powerful window into your internal terrain and resilience.

Total Toxin Burden Assessment

This simple urine test measures your total toxic load from multiple sources, including: 39 environmental toxins (pesticides, VOCs, plastics, preservatives), 31 mold-related mycotoxins and 20 heavy metals. By identifying your toxin burden, we can better support detox pathways, reduce ongoing exposures, and address one of the most overlooked root causes of chronic symptoms.

DUTCH Complete Hormone Panel

The DUTCH test is a gold-standard assessment for mapping out your sex hormones, adrenal function, and cortisol patterns throughout the day. It helps uncover hormone imbalances that may be contributing to fatigue, mood swings, PMS, weight gain, sleep issues, and more. This dried urine test also includes markers for melatonin, oxidative stress, and several organic acids.

Gut Zoomer

Your gut microbiome plays a massive role in digestion, immunity, inflammation, skin health, and even mental well-being. The Gut Zoomer screens for 300+ microorganisms with industry-leading accuracy (99% specificity / 98% sensitivity). It identifies imbalances in beneficial flora, pathogenic overgrowths, parasites, yeast, viruses, and markers of leaky gut—all essential data when addressing chronic gut symptoms or systemic inflammation.

Food Sensitivity & Allergen Testing

This test helps identify delayed food reactions that may be triggering inflammation, skin issues, digestive problems, migraines, or fatigue. It’s especially helpful for those who’ve already removed major allergens but still experience symptoms. Testing takes the guesswork out of your diet and accelerates healing.

Organic Acids Panel (OAT)

The OAT test uses a single urine sample to assess nutrient deficiencies, detox capability, oxidative stress, neurotransmitter imbalances, mitochondrial health, and the presence of fungal or bacterial overgrowths. It’s one of the most comprehensive functional tools available for understanding your biochemical individuality.

Micronutrient Panel

This blood test analyzes the status of key vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants—not just in your bloodstream, but inside your cells. It provides insight into both short-term and long-term nutrient depletion that may be driving fatigue, poor immunity, mood symptoms, or chronic inflammation.

Methylation Panel

This genetic test evaluates your body's methylation pathways—which impact everything from detoxification and mood regulation to hormone metabolism and DNA repair. It’s a valuable tool for understanding how your body processes B vitamins, handles toxins, and manages inflammation on a cellular level.

Cyrex Array 12: Pathogen-Associated Immune Screen

This cutting-edge test identifies immune system reactions to 24 common pathogens, including viruses, bacteria, parasites, and fungi, which may trigger or contribute to autoimmune responses. It’s especially useful for those with complex, unexplained symptoms or autoimmune conditions.

Not Sure Which Tests Are Right for You?

Don’t worry—you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. After your onboarding session, we’ll review your health history, symptoms, and goals to determine which labs (if any) will provide the most insight and value for your healing journey.
